Announcing the very first Humanode Music Contest

If anyone reading this article remembers that catchy song from the very first Humanode Got Talent contest that went on singing “Huma-node, Huma-node, Huma-node”, I am sure you will agree that it is time to find a new tune to wipe that one from your memory. (Well, at least so that it stops popping into your head at the weirdest times of day.)

Thus, we invite you all to become composers to write the next smash hit Humanode song in the very first Humanode Music Contest.

No, you do not have to be a professional composer or musician. Yes, you are free to use any AI assistance you require to play, compose, or write the songs. Yes, if you want to, you are more than free to do it all without AI assistance like true human artists. Just remember that the judges who will judge your tunes to make it through to the voting rounds will also be looking at the message behind the song. The more you can envision what Humanode stands for, the more you understand the core messages and what we aim for, the better chance your song will stand out.

The rules are simple.

Create a Humanode-themed song. Post the song (as in, not just the lyrics or a music score, but a song that we can listen to) on X, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or your favorite social media, and then post the link to the song to the #humanodes-got-talent channel in the Humanode Discord server.

This time, up to three submissions will be eligible for the $100 “Gold Prize”. Another three will be eligible for the $50 “Silver Prize”, and a number of you will receive $20 for notable work.

The music can be rock, pop, jazz, blues, rap, classical, country, western, country-western, folk, spiritual, psychedelic, alternative, children's music, traditional, experimental, or any type of music. Just make sure that you keep it clean and original.

Once again, the theme is Humanode, but where you go from there is all up to you.

The deadline is Feb 6th, 2026.

In order to keep things orderly and less stressful, the initial round of voting will be held on the 7th by a panel of judges composed of the Humanode Core. The final round of voting amongst the community will begin on February 9th.

Rules and procedures for voting will be announced before the voting, but as a rule of thumb, you will need to be a verified human, and it will be one person, one vote.

Now, go forth and rock me, Amadeus!
