Humanode Biweekly vol.114

Humanode Biweekly vol.114

Vortex Sim Dev Log #3 just landed, the Community Playbook is live, and we’re kicking off the first Humanode Music Contest. New WeHMND/WBTC biostaking pool is deployed, plus a Fireside with Rich Robinson (Animoca Brands). Also: Episteme’s Eidōlon is now open to the public, Humanode’s 2025 Recap is up, and our new blog dives into responsibility in the age of AI.

TL;DR

This cycle was about making things feel more real by making them more solid.

Vortex Sim Dev Log #3 is out, focused on refactoring and stabilization rather than adding new features. The work cleaned up what was built so far, simplified pieces that needed simplifying, and strengthened the underlying structure so chambers, threads, and chat fit together in a clearer, more coherent way. If you missed it earlier, the Vortex Demo UI is already available to try, with the current demo app supported on desktop only.

On the staking side, a new WeHMND/WBTC biostaking pool has been deployed. The previous WeHMND/WBTC staking pool ended on January 24, 2026, and the latest WeHMND/WBTC contract was deployed to go live at the same time and in the same block as the previous one ended, running for six months. If you were staked in the previous pool, you’ll need to unstake and restake your LP tokens in the latest pool, and rewards for the new contract will begin accruing as soon as you stake. If you’re new to Humanode biostaking, the new pool is also a straightforward chance to get started, with APRs currently ranging from roughly 20% to 200%.

We also published a Humanode Community Playbook that lays out how the community is meant to function when people show up, bring ideas, build things, and take part in decisions. It’s designed to make it easier to understand how work and initiatives move through the ecosystem, and where different kinds of contributions fit. Alongside that, we’re announcing the first Humanode Music Contest.

Last week, we hosted a Humanode Fireside featuring Rich Robinson, Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Animoca Brands, with Dato and Victor from Humanode hosting. The conversation explored ownership, open networks, and what it means to build systems that don’t rely on permission to exist.

On the publications front, the Humanode 2025 Recap is now live, capturing the year’s progress in a single place. We also published a deep dive that reframes a common AI debate: instead of asking what AI should be allowed to do, it argues we should ask who is responsible when AI is used in specific ways. The piece examines how anonymity weakens accountability, and what it would take to restore responsibility without stripping AI of its usefulness.

In the wider ecosystem, Episteme’s Eidōlon testnet is now open to the public on Humanode. It’s a DeScAI experiment that treats scientific hypotheses as live, tradable probabilities, with participation paths that include exploring markets, trading, proposing hypotheses, and earning Eidōlon Points through meaningful activity.

With you,

— The Humanode Team

Vortex Sim Dev Log #3 - Refactor Stabilization + Chamber Threads/Chat

Dev Log 3 is out. A lot of things got cleaned up. Some parts got simpler. Some got more solid. The way chambers, threads, and chat fit together is starting to feel more real now

This one is about refactoring and stabilizing what was built so far, not adding shiny new things.

Previously, Vortex Demo UI Released

You are free to go through them and play with the demo version here.  Do note that the current version of the demo app will be desktop only.

As our Dev team continues to build the systems and write the code behind the version that will be launched onchain, we will also be working on making the functionality for proto-Vortex available on this Demo Vortex UI, moving the submission of proposals and the voting on them here sometime in the near future.

One thing to remember is that what we have here is the vision of how we see Vortex working in the future.  It has functions and ideas that may not reach the initial release of Vortex, as we are building the most important and needed functions for the current Humanode chain.  As governance and its needs grow, so will Vortex.

What we would like the community to do, is go through the demo Vortex UI, experience it, and give us feedback.  Tell us what you like about it, what you think we should do better.  What you think we nailed, and what we are missing.  If you have ideas or questions, do share them too.  Feel free to drop comments in our Discord server # vortex-experimental-mockups channel.

As stated before, we are in the proof-of-concept phase of Vortex.  Your input and feedback is what we are seeking the most, as your input is the most valuable asset we can gain at this stage of the project.

If you would like to go back and read up about Vortex, you can find the Vortex whitepaper here: https://gitbook.humanode.io/vortex-1.0

If you want a say in the future of this network, this is where to start.

LP Staking

🚀🌱 New WeHMND/WBTC Biostaking pool deployed

As you know, the previous WeHMND/WBTC staking pool ended on January 24, 2026. The latest WeHMND/WBTC contract (0x48B522553386dE6dc6f7577eeC2362BDbA1383D3) has been deployed, which is live from the same time in the same block as the previous one ended and will run for 6 months.

If you are staked in the previous pool:

1. You’ll need to unstake and restake your LP tokens in the latest pool.

2. Rewards for the new contract will start rolling in as soon as you stake in the new pool.

Make sure to move your assets to the new pool to keep earning rewards without interruption.

If you are new to Humanode Biostaking, the new pool is a chance to get started, with APRs ranging between 20% - 200%.

Humanode Community Playbook

We published a community playbook for the Humanode community.

It lays out how this place is meant to work when people actually show up, bring ideas, build things, and take part in decisions. It’s meant to make it easier to see where you fit and how things move here.

Humanode 2025 Recap

Humanode 2025 Recap is live.

More humans, fewer shadows.

Stop blaming AI for things people choose to do

AI safety debates keep asking the wrong question.

Instead of:“What should AI be allowed to do?”

Ask:“Who is responsible when AI is used this way?”

We published a deep dive on why anonymity breaks accountability and how we fix it without neutering AI.
