2024 was a monumental year for Humanode, brimming with growth, innovation, and integration. Scaling to over 1600 human nodes, reaching a milestone of 10 million blocks, and launching BotBasher for Telegram, Humanode brought Sybil-resistant technology to the forefront of Web3 projects. As we look back on these achievements, we also set our sights on what’s coming in 2025, promising even more breakthroughs for the ecosystem.

On top of that, Humanodecon 2024 made history as Humanode’s first-ever in-person conference. Held in Istanbul on December 7-8, this event combined debate games, DAO simulations, and captivating lectures to ignite thought-provoking discussions and community engagement. Key highlights included two dynamic debates: "One Person, One Node: The Future of Decentralization?" where the audience actively participated using a groundbreaking one person, one vote system to determine the outcome, and "CBDCs: Financial Freedom or Neoserfdom?" which explored the promises and pitfalls of central bank digital currencies. Victor, Humanode Co-founder, delivered a standout lecture on global financial shifts, tracing the history of monetary systems, the rise of financial nihilism, and the explosion of meme coins. The good news is, the new WeHMND/WETH LP Biostaking contract is live. The previous contract wrapped up on December 23, 2024, with rewards halting, but users can still claim any accrued earnings. The new pool, while offering rewards at half the rate of the old one, is setting the stage for something exciting: a portion of the rewards will be reallocated to an upcoming pool featuring a new asset. On the development front, Humanode’s team continues to push boundaries. Following the deployment of the new Biostaking contract, they’re working on launching a WBTC pool and advancing cross-chain biomapping, which is set to arrive soon. In short, each CVM instance lasts 6 months, adhering to FaceTec's biometric licensing policy. At the end of the cycle, old biometric data is erased, and users must reverify, ensuring only active users remain verified. These resets bolster privacy and security, with Discord now on Gen 5, while Telegram generation details remain under wraps.

Furthermore, BotBasher for Discord has hit a major milestone, safeguarding 700+ servers from Sybil attacks and bots. By ensuring only real, verified users interact with Web3 applications, it continues to set new standards for security, fairness, and efficiency.

The old WeHMND/WETH Biostaking contract wrapped up on December 23, 2024. Rewards for the old pool have stopped, but don’t worry - you can still claim whatever you’ve already earned.

However, the good news is that the new WeHMND/WETH LP Biostaking contract is live now, so if you want to keep earning, make sure to move your staked tokens to the new pool.

Rewards in the new pool are about half of what they used to be, but there’s a reason for it - we will redistribute a portion of the rewards to an upcoming pool featuring a new asset (coming soon)!

🎮Catacomb Crawlers is launching as the first Sybil-resistant game under Humanode incubation

Catacomb Crawlers, a mobile roguelike survival, will be the first game to launch on the Humanode chain integrating in-game NFTs, marketplace, and utilizing Humanode’s biomapper to combat Sybil attacks on rewards. 

Players will only need to prove they are unique real humans when they enter the marketplace to trade tokens for in-game assets or other rewards.
