Humanode Community Interviews #1: Redd

The time has come for the first, of hopefully many, Humanode Community Interviews! For today, we would like to introduce a Human Node originally from Indonesia, Redd!

Redd is a DevOps Engineer who currently works and lives in Singapore and is also the founder of CryptoNodeID, a community built with the mission to share knowledge and information about Crypto and Blockchain, but especially focused on sharing information about Nodes.

Q:  Hello, fellow Human Node Redd!  For the first question of the day, let us start with the basics.  Do you remember when and how you discovered the existence of Humanode?

A: I was introduced to Humanode by a fellow airdropper who hunted for any kind of incentivized projects.  As for when, not quite sure, but at that time, Humanode only had around 500 active validators.  So it must have been a few years ago.

Q: What attracted you to Humanode at first?

A:  When I first discovered Humanode, I had just started my journey as a validator, so I wanted to take part in as many projects as possible.  Plus, I found Humanode to be a very interesting project that was aiming to build a network of biometrically verified validators to secure the network while giving incentives to validators.  I thought that it was kind of like “selling your face”. Haha.

Q:  As you remain a Human Node, am I correct to guess that there was something that you liked about the project?

A:  What I like about it is that while it incentivizes its validators, it also creates a secure network that can be used for other purposes.   One of the most interesting parts to me is the Humanode biostaker, where you can stake your LP tokens to get a return.  The fascinating part is that there is a little twist.  The APR is allocated with fairness in mind, and because you are Biomapped, the more LP tokens you stake, the lower APR you get, giving the non-whales a chance to actually earn something.  In addition, the Biostaker utilizes biometric authentication to prevent people from using a potential APR allocation loophole, where people could try to stake small amounts of LP with different wallet addresses to get bigger APR.  But no, users can’t do that because they are bioauthenticated!

Q:  How would you like Humanode to improve?  What would make it better?

A: Maybe some kind of knowledge sharing sessions, or something like that to publicize Humanode, which is especially geared towards people without a tech background, would be great (which also aligns with my goal of creating CryptoNodeID as a community).

I remember reccomending Humanode to some of my friends, but they were sceptical, due to needing to scan our biometrics, and they said "Woy, lu mau pake muka gw buat pinjol ye?" (translated: "Hey, are you going to use my face to borrow money from online platform?")

Q: Do you have any requests for the Humanode Developers?

A:  What I would really like to see developed is something that works like sarcophagus.io, but with Humanode.  For anyone who doesn't know, sarcophagus is a deadman trigger, where it will do a transaction or task that was already set by the owner, for when the private key owner does not sign in after a set time designated by the user (can be a case of total disability or deceased). The triggered transaction could be some kind of will, or automatic inheritance of any assets via blockchain.

I think this should be possible using our bioauth, since bioauth is already a really sophisticated technology with liveness check and all.  Perhaps the deadman trigger can be set via the launcher, and every time the user who has the deadman trigger enabled does bioauth, it will change X amount of HMND as the keepers' fee and refresh the trigger.  And when the user does not bioauth after X epochs of inactivity, the deadman trigger could be activated and carry out the said task that has been set earlier.

Q: How would you envision the future of Humanode, say, in 5 years in the future?

A: I believe Humanode can grow bigger and can collaborate with other mainstream financial institutions like banks, to provide security in terms of biometric authentication.

Previously, I worked in the banking sector, and I think Humanode would be a great tool for them to improve their customers' security and privacy.

Q:  And finally, any final comments or messages to the Humanode Community or core team?

A:  I'm just a random person, so there really isn't much that I can think of at this time.  I just hope that you can extend the incentive validator slots and make Humanode more popular!

Thank you, Redd!  It was great hearing from you today, and looking forward to growing the community and making Humanode more popular together!
