The Dawn of Proto-Vortex

Ever since its inception, Humanode has been tirelessly moving forward with its mission to create a consensus mechanism that is equal and fair, that allows the participation of all, no matter who you are or where you are from, a system that gives people a voice, and where money cannot buy power.  A system that can become the foundation of true decentralization, a financial system that can go beyond the borders without “overlords”, and give people privacy while giving them an equal voice in governance.

The first step was realized by creating a consensus mechanism based on cryptobiometrics, and launching a blockchain by allowing any bioauthenticated unique human to launch one validator node, a human node.  In this day and age in where the so-called “decentralized” blockchains are more centralized than even the Federal Reserve, Humanode and the Humanode community have proven that it can become the most decentralized blockchain in the world, and that decentralization is not a pie in the sky.

The second step was to prove that bioauthentication, done right, can not only protect the privacy of the users, but that, through the Sybil-resistance it provides,  can be used as a key that solves a multitude of problems that haunt Web3 projects and that rule the current internet.

We started by providing BotBasher for Discord and Telegram, along with offering OAuth 2.0 to Web2 and Web3 projects, allowing Discord servers and Telegram chats to create Sybil-resistant chatrooms that are free of spam bots, along with enabling apps and services to create one user one account systems and one user one reward/freemium/airdrop systems.  Currently, over 2.2 million users have been bioauthenticated.

And then Humanode moved on to create Biomapper, enabling those on the Humanode chain to develop Sybil-resistant dApps and services on-chain.  Humanode was able to launch its Sybil-resistant Nonlinear LP Staking pool through the use of Biomapper, ensuring that the “whales” do not eat up all of the rewards, and that every participant received a fair share.

The next step was obviously to make Biomapper cross-chain, so that developers on other platforms could also go Sybil-resistant.  Biomapper is still evolving, with it becoming available to more chains every week.

And now, it is time to take our next step in our evolution.  The Humanode Dev team has spent the last 3 months deep in R&D, and the time to code Vortex, the Humanode DAO, has come.

Vortex will become the foundation of Governance in Humanode, and Formation, which is part of Vortex, will become where projects and proposals on the Humanode chain can build teams after the proposals pass voting in Vortex.

All validators (human nodes) will be able to participate if they so desire.  All governors will have equal voting power, no matter if you are a new governor or one of the founders of Humanode.

Soon, the Humanode Dev team will be opening the Vortex GitHub repository to all on GitHub so that you can track the progress of its development.  Although at the start, it will all be worked on by the Humanode Dev team and developers working with the Dev team, as time passes, the plan is to gradually make a large portion of Vortex open source.

Remember that although Vortex may start small and simple, we plan far ahead so that it can become the foundation for a one unique human = one vote system that can be utilized far beyond just the governance of Humanode.  One day, we believe, it can become a tool not only utilized on other chains looking for one human = one vote DAOs, but it could even be utilized by local governments to planetary DAOs.

And as the Dev team begins its coding, the core team will also start getting ready for the launch of Vortex and Formation through new initiatives that will give Humanode validators experience in participating in the Vortex and Formation.  The announcement will be coming next week, when all the i’s are dotted and the t’s crossed, so we ask you to keep your eyes and mind open, as this will be your opportunity to not only participate in proto-Vortex governance, but also proto-Formation projects for those Validators that want to take charge in making your ideas come true.
