Vortex Alpha is open for Testing

Today we’re opening the doors to something we’ve been building in the open for months.

Vortex Alpha is now live.

This is the first time Proto-Vortex moves out of internal loops and into real user hands. Not as a finished product, but as a working environment where you can explore how proposals, factions, and governance flows behave when real people interact with them.

Try it here:

What you can try right now

The goal of this phase is simple: interact with the core mechanics and see how they feel.

You can:

  1. Cast a basic proposal
  2. Create or join a faction
  3. Once your proposal is accepted, vote on others

These are the foundational loops. Nothing fancy. Just the core governance mechanics working together in a live environment.

Quick walkthrough

If you want a short guided overview before jumping in, watch the 3-minute walkthrough here:

What you need to get started

You only need a Humanode-compatible wallet.

You can use:

You do not need to run a node at this stage. Alpha is focused on interaction and feedback, not infrastructure setup.

Help us break it (seriously)

Alpha exists to learn what works, what feels confusing, and what breaks under real usage.

If you run into anything unexpected, drop it in the dedicated Discord channel:
https://discord.gg/tCfgndXw

When reporting, it helps a lot if you include:

  1. What page you got stuck on
  2. What you expected to happen
  3. What actually happened
  4. Your device and browser

The more concrete the report, the easier it is for us to trace and fix.

Coordinated test session

We’re also ran a live coordinated test last Saturday

For one hour, everyone joining discussed and tested to submit proposals, get them accepted, and vote on others’ proposals together. If you want to join the discussion next Saturday, below is the reminder link. Add it to your calendar here:

Why this stage matters

Alpha is where theory meets behavior.

We’ve spent months building the mechanics: proposal flows, factions, lifecycle logic, thresholds but systems like this only become real when people actually use them.

That’s what this phase is for.

If you’re curious about how governance feels when it’s designed as a living process rather than a static tool, jump in and explore.

We’ll be watching closely, listening, and iterating.

More updates soon.
