Vortex Court on the horizon

Vortex Court on the horizon

The time is nearing for the test phase of the final major piece of Vortex.  The Court.

Like courts around the world, it is based on the law of the land, in this case, the Humanode Codex.  Like justice systems around the world, there will be juries, and active governors will be asked to serve from time to time.

Unlike courts around the world, human judges will not exist at this time.  The Vortex will dish out the penalties based on the verdict of the juries.  More specifically, the Vortex Court will become the Humanode Decentralized Autonomous Court of Justice, serving the Humanode Community.

As the first step of the test phase, we will be refining the Codex to specify the “crimes and punishments”.  How long should a person be banned from running a node if he or she is caught trying to falsify transactions?  3 months?  3 years?  Or, depending on the nature of the crime, perhaps permanently banning their biometrics from Humanode Bio-authentication?   These are the questions we will need answers for.  This is what we are thinking about.  And yes, everyone has a voice in the process.  We will need your help.

Once everything is clarified, thorough testing is complete, and the Court is officially launched, the next step will be to port Vortex to the Humanode Blockchain, fulfilling all the promises made in the Vortex Whitepaper.  Still a way to go, but do note that we are moving forward step by step, and we are not that far away from wrapping this up.

Interested?  Want to take part?  Great!  There are a few things that you can do.  1.  Pay attention to the announcements.  There may be voting opportunities that will pop up over the next few weeks.  2. Participate in the Community Calls.  We will be having a number of discussions there concerning the Codex and crimes and punishments.  3.  Become a governor.  Yes, this involves making proposals and having them accepted, but remember, hardcore development isn’t the only way forward.  There are plenty of marketing, community, and media-related proposals that could be implemented.  Just remember, once Vortex goes on-chain, the governors will truly be the ones with the voice and the keys (and yes, they will also be the juries).

Looking forward to seeing your involvement!
