Vortex-simulator (Proto-Vortex) Alpha v0.2  is live

Alpha v0.2 is now available for testing.

This release makes Vortex feel much more like a real living system instead of a static simulator. The biggest update is inVision, which now shows the state of the system in a much more meaningful way. You can now see core metrics like Legitimacy, Stability, and Decentralization, with the system beginning to reflect how power, participation, concentration, and pressure actually behave over time.

Another major change is the new Legitimacy mechanic. Active human nodes can now directly signal when they believe Vortex is illegitimate. If legitimacy drops too far, the system can trigger a referendum that all active human nodes can participate in. This makes legitimacy a real constitutional mechanism, not just a visual stat.

We also shipped the first real Stability engine, which tracks whether the system is functioning coherently: how decisions move, whether governance is overloaded, whether projects complete, and whether the system is under constitutional stress. Governors will now also receive Urgent/feed alerts when major system metrics move across key thresholds.

On top of that, Alpha v0.2 includes the first version of the Decentralization engine, which starts measuring how concentrated effective system power and throughput are across proposers, chambers, factions, and execution leadership. This is the beginning of a much more serious political and structural reading of the ecosystem.

You should expect:

  • a more informative and dynamic inVision page
  • real system-state metrics instead of placeholders
  • legitimacy objections and constitutional referendum behavior
  • stronger alerts in Urgent
  • better continuity when proposals change state
  • many UI and logic fixes from the recent stabilization work

What we need from you now:

  • use the system actively
  • try proposal flows, chamber flows, formation flows, and governance actions
  • watch how inVision changes as the system evolves
  • report anything that feels wrong, confusing, inconsistent, or politically inaccurate

Alpha v0.2 is not “finished”. It is the point where the simulator starts becoming a more readable, reactive, and interpretable political system.
