The past two weeks have been intense, in the best way possible. From cross-chain expansions to deep philosophical drops and community-led polls, the Humanode pulse is strong and steady. We wanted to take a moment to share what we’ve been working on, what’s coming next, and how your voice continues to shape the future of our shared network.
On the development front, the team has been pushing hard. Substrate upgrades are in motion, and UX is getting smoother by the day. Behind the scenes: Axelar support is wrapping up, and Virax integration is nearly ready for deployment.
The big news, though, is biomapping going cross-chain at scale. Over the past cycle, Humanode’s Biomapper has expanded its reach and is now live on Manta, Scroll, Arbitrum, Janction testnet, Hyperliquid, and Story (don’t forget Sonic, Sei, Base, Filecoin, and Avalanche). And just this week, we deployed the Biomapper c1 SDK on Unichain. This means Unichain builders can now integrate privacy-preserving, cryptographic proof of personhood directly into their dApps: no KYC, no documents, just a few lines of code. If you’re building on Unichain (or any supported chain), it’s now easier than ever to filter bots and verify real users, enabling Sybil-resistant experiences in seconds.
That said, no system can thrive without sustainability. In our recent update on validator fee distribution, we announced a temporary change: for the upcoming cycle, validator rewards will be distributed among 1,000 human nodes. This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s one we made to ensure the long-term health of the network. We know how deeply this affects many of you, and we’re grateful for the thoughtful feedback that’s poured in.
Community members offered insightful alternatives, from models that prioritize fairness based on uptime to randomization mechanisms that uphold decentralization while covering costs. These proposals reflect exactly what Humanode is all about: shared responsibility and co-created governance.
So, in true Humanode fashion—one person, one node, one vote—we’re putting the choice in your hands. A poll is now live in the sr-polls channel on Discord, where you can vote for how validator fees should be distributed during this interim phase. Your voice matters, and this decision is ours to make together.
Meanwhile, the intellectual heartbeat of Humanode continues to grow. We recently published Whitepaper v 0.9.7 "Instrumentality of Mankind", laying out our evolving vision for biometric crypto systems rooted in human agency. Alongside it, we released the Humanode Manifesto, a call to action for an egalitarian, Sybil-resistant, surveillance-free future. If you resonate with what we stand for, we’d love for you to read it—and sign it.
And because decentralization isn’t a trend, but a lineage, we also kicked off a blog series: A Short History of Decentralized Systems. Part I begins with tribal councils and P2P forums. Part II dives into BitTorrent, Bitcoin, DAOs, and Humanode. It’s a reminder that the question “Who gets to speak—and how many times?” has always defined power structures. 🗳️ Community Poll: Deciding on Validator Fee Distribution Rule
After announcing the validator fee distribution update, we received a wave of thoughtful feedback from the community. To make sure every verified community member has a chance to weigh in, we’re reopening the Sybil-resistant validator poll - this time for one full week.
We saw strong participation in the first round, but not everyone had the time to cast their vote. So here’s your chance to help shape how validator rewards are distributed moving forward.
So, in true Humanode fashion (one human = one vote), we’re opening this up to you.
As a reminder, we are going with the two most discussed options based on community suggestions:
1. 1000 validators with 84/84 get $25/month, chosen randomly,
2. All 84/84 validators share the fees equally, but the amount of fees is reduced (the amount depends on the total number of validators).
Note: Random Selection is temporary until we have PoT/PoD. Also, for the current cycle, the validator rewards will be distributed as per the current distribution rules.

Biomapper c1 SDK has been deployed on Unichain, making its private and secure uniqueness verification available for all of their builder community!
For those who are new to Biomapper, the Humanode Biomapper is one of the core tools of Humanode, a cryptobiometric Layer-1 Blockchain where one human = one node = one vote, known for its use of private biometrics to fight Sybil attacks, which now allows private and secure uniqueness verification to go cross-chain.
Unichain is a high-performance Layer 2 (L2) blockchain developed to enhance Ethereum's scalability and efficiency, particularly for decentralized finance (DeFi). The time has come to inform our friends and community members from around the globe of plans for the 2025 Humanode Conference. What first started online, moved to Istanbul last year to have a splendid time with the Turkish community and friends from around the world, will be hopping over to visit the vibrant community in Romania, and have some fun with our partners from Catacomb Crawlers this September!

LP Staking
🚀🌱WeHMND/USDC LP Staking Cycle Ends June 1
The WeHMND/USDC LP staking contract (0xA9dC5E129df2D195db34807847EfeDC1eCE5f924) will come to an end on June 1st, 2025, estimated around 01:10:14 PM UTC, at block 13077390.
This contract has been running for the past 6 months, distributing 14,400 WeHMND/day to LPs through the nonlinear staking model that’s been core to BioDeFi.
If you’re currently staked, keep in mind:
1. Rewards will stop once the contract ends.
2. Your LP tokens are safe, but you’ll need to unstake and migrate to the new contract if you want to keep earning.
We’ll be deploying a new contract for the next 6-month cycle, with the same structure and same rewards. Please keep an eye out for the announcement with information regarding the deployment of the new contract, scheduled for later this week.
For those who are new: Humanode Biostaking is a Sybil-resistant staking model designed to ensure decentralized reward distribution among liquidity providers in a way that rewards are not proportionate to the amount pooled. It uses Humanode private biometric verification to make sure that every participant is unique.
