HumanodeCon V: The date is set, the debates are lined up
HumanodeCon V is coming. Our fifth conference will take place online on December 15, 2026, from 12:00 to 20:00 UTC.
Expect eight short lectures, two debates, networking, conversations between sessions, and an afterparty. A day to catch up with the community and spend some time on questions that tend to outlast the sessions devoted to them.
And there is plenty to discuss.
What should secure a blockchain? What happens when proving you are human becomes a condition for participation? Who gains freedom, and who gets to decide where the boundaries are?
Two debates will put those questions on the table.
13:40–14:40 UTC — People vs. Capital: What Should Secure a Blockchain?
Blockchain security comes with choices about who can participate and how much influence they can hold. Where should capital fit into that structure? What changes when the network puts individual humans at its foundation?
17:15–18:15 UTC — Proof of Humanity: Freedom or Gatekeeping?
Proving that someone is a unique human can help protect participation from bots and duplicate identities. It also raises questions about access, privacy, and control. When does that proof enable freedom, and when does it become another gate to pass through?
Between the debates, we will have eight short lectures and time to continue the conversations, meet other attendees, and reconnect with familiar humans. There is an afterparty, too. Some discussions need more than a session slot.

Speakers and attendance details will be announced soon. For now, keep December 15 open.
Online. 12:00–20:00 UTC. Bring your questions.
