What's happening in egalitarian Humanode DAO - Vortex

Three projects are running in Vortex Formation right now. Formation is the stage where an accepted proposal becomes a funded team with milestones, and each milestone goes back to the chamber for a vote before any HMND is released.

Emre from Piconbello is building the Humanode Docker image, meant to make running a node as simple as ethdocker. It bundles the node binary with a Telegram bot that tells you when your biometric status needs renewing and sends you the rescan link. The chamber approved milestone 2, the full deployment stack with services and notifications, on September 10, so 270k of the 540k HMND budget is out. Bug fixing is next, then three months of maintenance.

The third is a publication team for "2067 -the equilibrium-", a dystopian novel written around what Humanode and Vortex make possible. Editing and publisher research are done, and the team is moving into negotiations with publishers in the EU, UK and US. We like how the budget is split: 1 HMND for editing, 1 HMND for research and 9,998 HMND for the negotiation milestone. That means the project has collected 2 HMND so far.

Several proposals failed this year. Two coin-burn proposals, a treasury dashboard and a mainnet site redesign all died in the pool or at the vote. A combined Chamber of Marketing and Media was voted down before the Chamber of Media passed on its own.
