BotBasher is now on Telegram
It has been a while since BotBasher for Discord started bashing bots. In this time, hundreds of projects have utilized its unique feature to create Sybil-resistant channels, and 500k+ users have gone through the private biometric authentication process for BotBasher, proving that they are real human beings.
The problem is, that not every project uses Discord, and there were heaps of requests, begging the BotBasher to visit Telegram too. Welp, now it has!
Introducing BotBasher for Telegram! Well, at least the Alpha version of it.
For those of you who do not know what BotBasher is, do not fret. Let us tell you.
No, it does not run around and disable all of those useful Bots that the admins set up to make your stay easier and more enjoyable.
What BotBasher does is allow a user to go through a 15-second private biometric authentication process that will tie your face with one Telegram account. That is right, only one Telegram account can be tied to your face.
What does this do? Well, it allows the user to join Telegram channels that are designated Sybil-resistant channels, meaning that everyone in the channel is a verified human being, and not a bot, and not the guy with 100 other accounts in the same channel.
But why!? Some may say. Think of it this way. Imagine you are in the channel of an upcoming project that is ready to list, and it wants to whitelist its users but will be limited to the first 200 people. Naturally, the owners of the channel want 200 real users to join, not one guy with 200 accounts! As a user, we are sure that you want to at least be one of those 200 people, and don’t want to compete against 40,000 bots and fake accounts! BotBasher enables this.
What if the project or the group wants to invite everybody in the channel to join them for dinner, and decides to vote on if you will be eating Chicken or Fish? With 15 people in the channel, I am sure people do not want to see a result that says 9 Chicken and 14,987 Fish! With BotBasher for Telegram, you can quickly create Sybil-Resistant groups for Voting, making sure that it is a one-person one-vote channel!
