Humanode Biweekly Vol. 115, a note from the team on what shipped, what’s live, and what’s next.

NOTE: we had to do an emergency rotation of the Biomapper CVM. If you’re using Biostaker, please biomap again to keep receiving rewards. If you’re a partner or integrator, you don’t need to take any action beyond notifying your community about the new Biomapper server generation. All other Humanode Core–developed infrastructure and services are unaffected.

The great news is, Vortex is stepping into the open: the Vortex alpha is live. You can now test the simulator end-to-end — cast a basic proposal, create or join a faction, and vote once proposals are accepted. You only need a Humanode-compatible wallet (no node required at this stage). As you test, please report anything that feels broken or confusing in the dedicated Discord channel, including where you got stuck, what you expected, what happened instead, and your device/browser.

On the development side, our latest Vortex Dev Sim Log marks a real milestone: Proto-Vortex Alpha is fully deployed and ready for real user feedback. Formation flows are now lifecycle-driven, projects can move through governed milestones toward completion, and we’ve done a broad stabilization pass so the system holds up better under real use.

From ecosystem and community updates: cross-chain biomapping continues to expand. Biomapper C2 is now live on MegaETH mainnet, bringing “one human = one wallet” to teams building there without turning their dApps into KYC desks. Biomapper C2 also landed on Polygon, extending uniqueness verification into one of the most active EVM ecosystems and enabling fair airdrops, governance, mints, and any logic that needs real-human guarantees without storing personal data.

Furthermore, dTelecom added it to their Discord to keep participation human and rewards honest, especially with their current airdrop phase underway. It’s a clean use case for what we care about: proving uniqueness, not identity.

On the community front, the Humanode Music Contest has concluded. Thank you to everyone who created Humanode-themed music — the quality was genuinely high and we learned a lot from the process. To make voting manageable, we shortlisted 13 tracks for verified humans to vote on Gold and Silver prizes, and we also included a small set of notable mentions chosen by the Core team. Winners should DM princessfiona in the Humanode Discord to coordinate.

We also published more resources to make PoBU easier to explain and use in practice, including a simplified explainer series and a practical playbook for identifying and reducing bot activity in communities. And we’ve released a new Fireside episode as well.

Finally, an ecosystem highlight: Eidōlon Points (Episteme) is a Humanode-powered rewards layer for real humans helping build markets for scientific truth — explore markets, trade, propose hypotheses, and earn points for meaningful participation without farming dominating the game.

Development Highlights

Vortex Dev Sim Log 7 is out, and this one marks a big moment.

Proto-Vortex Alpha is now fully deployed and open for real user testing, which means the sim finally steps out of internal loops and into live feedback. Formation flows are now fully lifecycle-driven, projects can actually move from active to completion through governed milestones, and a broad stabilization pass makes the whole system feel more solid under real usage.

If you’ve been following the journey, this is the one where things start to feel real.

Humanode Biomapper C2 is now live on MegaETH mainnet

This is for teams building on MegaETH who want “one human = one wallet” without turning their dApp into a KYC desk.

Biomapper C2 deployed on Polygon Network

Biomapper C2 is now live on Polygon, bringing human uniqueness verification to one of the most active EVM ecosystems.

If you’re building on Polygon and need to stop bots, farms, or multi-account abuse, Biomapper lets you do that with just a few lines of code.

Note on voting integrity

As in the last contest, we saw attempts to join voting late via new accounts (sockpuppets / friends & family), plus last-minute coordinated voting behavior. We removed votes that were ineligible under the contest rules and Discord’s technical constraints.

These contests are meant to celebrate creativity and strengthen the community—not become a money grab or popularity raid. If behavior like this becomes the norm, we may need to reconsider running community contests.

How PoBU decides who gets to participate

We looked at how PoBU approaches decentralization as something you can measure using public chain data: validator activity, churn, and block-author concentration.

That naturally raises the next question: what does PoBU treat as “eligibility” in the first place? Eligible for what? And how does the chain know?

PoBU is probabilistic. What does that mean?

In the last piece, we covered the eligibility interface. It explains how the chain tracks who is allowed to take part over time.

Now comes a point that the PoBU makes directly. PoBU aims for “one eligible account per human,” but it treats that claim as probabilistic, with quantified bounds. So the question is simple: where do those bounds come from? Or how strict the rule is?
