Reflecting on 2024 – The Year of Progress and Integrations in Humanode's Journey

As we wrap up 2024, let’s take a moment to look back at an amazing year for Humanode. While 2023 was about big achievements and hitting milestones, 2024 was all about “Progress and Integrations” – making things work better together, launching new tools, and teaming up with awesome partners to push Humanode to new heights.

From growing the Humanode network to making games Sybil-resistant and releasing tools that protect people’s privacy, this year had it all. Here’s a breakdown of everything we achieved together in 2024.

1. Big Wins for the Humanode Chain

The Humanode chain is the backbone of everything we do, and this year, it reached some seriously impressive milestones:

• Validator Boom: By August, our validator community had grown to over 1,250 people, and by the end of the year, it had grown to 1600+. More validators mean more security and decentralization.
• Breaking Records: Humanode reached an incredible Nakamoto Coefficient of 177 in April. This is a fancy way of saying we’re one of the most decentralized blockchains out there! The nakamoto coefficient currently stands at 492 far higher than any other blockchain.
• 10 Million Blocks: By October, the chain had produced 10 million blocks – a big milestone that shows how reliable and strong our network is.
• Complete Self-Sufficiency: In March, the chain achieved self-sufficiency. That means it generated sufficient income to pay the validators without us injecting funds from the ecosystem funding in the month of March – a huge step for a decentralized network!

2. New Tools and Upgrades

This year, we launched some game-changing tools and made our tech even better:

• Biomapper SDK Went Live: Biomapper SDK officially launched in March. It’s a development kit that makes sign-ups and airdrops fair by ensuring one person equals one EVM wallet address – no bots or sybils. Dapps can utilize Biomapper SDK to enable Sybil-resistance in their Dapps using Humanode Biomapper.
• BotBasher for Telegram: We launched the alpha version of BotBasher for Telegram with a $20,000+ Sybil Slayer Saga campaign on Galxe, featuring partners like Filecoin, Manta Network, QuickSwap, and many more.
• CVM improvements: Verifiable Confidential Virtual Machines (CVMs) got major updates this year, helping us securely process biometric data without exposing it and at the same time making CVMs verifiable.
• Governance Made Easy: We released a comprehensive layout on How Vortex (Humanode’s governance DAO) will work.

3. Integrations and partnerships

2024 was all about integrating our Sybil-resistant tech into amazing projects and platforms to help fight Sybils. We had over 1.5 million verified users, and 600+ Discord servers utilizing our BotBasher:

• StarkFinance: Integrated BotBasher to ensure Sybil resistance.
• Nabla Finance: Integrated BotBasher for Sybil-resistant airdrops.
• Zebec: Teamed up to bring Sybil-resistant Zealy campaigns with Humanode’s tech.

• BitMart: Successfully integrated Humanode EVM for broader asset compatibility.

SR Gate (Humanode ID): A tool like “Login with Google” but focused on ensuring one person equals one account. This could help projects verify unique users while staying Sybil-resistant.

Validator Fee System: We’re looking into automating the validator fee process to make it simpler and more efficient.
