Vortex Needs You

Vortex Needs You

The Humanode project launched back in early 2020, with a small team of 5 people. Many years have passed; we have experienced a brief bull run and a long bear market, launched the first cryptobiometric blockchain, we created the foundational tools for a global egalitarian financial system, created tools for

Vortex Alpha v.0.3: Courts Dev Log #20 - From Reports To Verdicts

Governance needs a credible way to address conduct that ordinary proposals and votes cannot resolve. A report must preserve the record that prompted it. A case must protect the people involved. A jury must receive enough information to decide without gaining access to material it has no right to see.

Vortex Court on the horizon

Vortex Court on the horizon

The time is nearing for the test phase of the final major piece of Vortex. The Court. Like courts around the world, it is based on the law of the land, in this case, the Humanode Codex. Like justice systems around the world, there will be juries, and active governors

Dev Log #19 - A Better Way To Write And Read Proposals

Dev Log #19 - A Better Way To Write And Read Proposals

Governance begins long before a vote is cast. It begins when someone tries to turn an idea into a proposal that other people can understand, challenge, and eventually decide on. That authoring experience has been rebuilt across Vortex. The new Proposal Wizard guides authors from their first decision to a

Vortex Alpha v0.2 - The UI/Design Overhaul

Vortex Alpha v0.2 - The UI/Design Overhaul

Vortex Alpha v0.2 is the first release where the simulator stops looking like a collection of governance screens and starts feeling like one designed civic system. This update is a full UI and design overhaul across the Vortex app surface. It rebuilds navigation, visual hierarchy, theme identity, proposal cards,

Vortex Dev Log #16 - The biggest update so far

Vortex Dev Log #16 - The biggest update so far

The biggest update so far but unseen to users! This week we concentrated on refactoring Vortex. Actually the refactor was going on for a month Vortex has moved through a lot of product surface quickly: proposals, chambers, vetoes, delegation, factions, CM, active-governor status, feed, profiles, and era transitions. That

Validator Fee Structure Update and Vortex Governance Rewards

Validator Fee Structure Update and Vortex Governance Rewards

Dear Human Nodes, With the launch of the Vortex Simulator (or proto-Vortex) and the invitation for Human Nodes to begin their journey toward participating as governors of Humanode - holding voting power in Humanode’s decisions and gaining a real voice in its future - we will be implementing several changes

Vortex Dev Log #11 — Delegation, Final Proposal Outcomes, and Release Hardening

Vortex Dev Log #11 — Delegation, Final Proposal Outcomes, and Release Hardening

TL;DR This update turns several important parts of Vortex Simulator from “working in principle” into something that feels much closer to a real product. Delegation is now visible, auditable, and politically legible. Proposal outcomes now resolve through proper final routes instead of stale or half-live pages. Chamber votes

Vortex-simulator (Proto-Vortex) Alpha v0.2 is live

Vortex-simulator (Proto-Vortex) Alpha v0.2 is live

Alpha v0.2 is now available for testing. This release makes Vortex feel much more like a real living system instead of a static simulator. The biggest update is inVision, which now shows the state of the system in a much more meaningful way. You can now see core metrics

Vortex Sim Dev Log #4 — Cognitocratic Measure + Governing Tiers

Vortex Sim Dev Log #4 — Cognitocratic Measure + Governing Tiers

TL;DR We added Cognitocratic Measure scoring (CM/LCM/MCM/ACM) with chamber‑multiplier voting and implemented governing tier progression + proposal type gating across the API and UI. My Governance + Profile now surface tier progress, chamber rosters show tiers, and proposal creation is blocked with clear, tier‑aware reasons when

Vortex Sim Dev Log #3 - Refactor Stabilization + Chamber Threads/Chat

Vortex Sim Dev Log #3 - Refactor Stabilization + Chamber Threads/Chat

TL;DR Chamber internals are canonical (roster/pipeline/metadata), membership gating is enforced, and chambers now ship threads + WebRTC chat with member‑only writes. The server codebase is cleaner and more predictable, the test suite runs under rstest, and the web client is aligned with the Hono API (pool/vote/

Proto-Vortex Update Jan 14

# Dev Log #2 — Repo Split (Web / Server / Docs) Date: 2026-01-14 TL;DR This update turns the simulator from a “single repo that contains everything” into three focused repos: * humanode-network/vortex-simulator-web — UI only * humanode-network/vortex-simulator-server — backend only (API + DB + tests) * humanode-network/vortex-

Proto-Vortex update Jan 5

Who would have expected the world to have aged another year while we were busy working? As our team was working on updating the proto-Vortex during the “holiday season”, we woke up to a new year without knowing it, but it feels good. Proto-Vortex is getting closer and

Updates to the proto-Vortex flow

Updates to the proto-Vortex flow

Each day, we learn something new, especially during the proof-of-concept phase of a project. After the first two rounds of proto-Vortex, the co-founders of Humanode got together to review the process and map out the changes needed to better reflect the actual flow of how Vortex
